Comments: My Dad passed away in 2008. He never talked to much about the time he spent in the Korean War. Only after quite a few drinks was he able to tell a few stories. The war profoundly affected his personality and the rest of his life. It also affected mine as Dad was not one to show much emotion and was happiest being by himself fishing. If anyone can shed some light on my Father or serviced with him in Korea, please share with me. Dad was in 14th Combat Engineers, Company B. Thanks!

Comments: Trying to find anyone from my squad. When we first got to LZ Nancy we were in tents and then built our own hootches.We built the CROSS for the Chaplin's tent. We had a E-6 squad leader that left us when we caught sniper fire on one of our mine sweeps. He was gone when we got back, and that's when RED became our squad leader.

Comments: I need help with remembering the name of the soldier that died in the communication bunker. I had a friend in the motor pool heavy set who operated a dozer and I attempted to not be re-assigned by shooting my foot. I loved the 173rd and did not want to leave the unit. If anyone remembers me or the name/s of members in the unit or the com. explosion please contact as I need help. Thanks.

Co. A 14th Eng Cbt. Bn Aug 50

Comments: Looking for a picture and/or info on 2LT. McMillan for a display I'm putting together at the Airstrip that is named in honor of him. He died of wounds while protecting his men while they were defending an MSR during 11-12 Aug 1950. In mid 80's the 14th Eng constructed a dirt airstrip for C-130 a/c at Camp Roberts and named the field after him. It is now paved and active in supporting UAV programs. I have a copy of the AAR of the action and a copy of the citation. Anyone with information please contact me.

Was burned with 12 others from my platoon on October 28, 1951. Went to 4077 MASH and then to Fifth Field Hospital at Taegu and then to Japan to Camp Drew for treatment

Looking for info on my dad

Comments: I am looking for info from anyone who may have served with my dad in the 14th Engineer Combat Battalion from Oct. 2, 1951 until Sept. 24th 1953. I am interested in knowing where this unit was during that time and details of exactly what they did. My dad never talked much about the War, and never told us what he did to earn three bronze stars. Comments: I am the Unit Hitorian for Alpha Company and am looking for information, stories, etc. on Alpha Company and what they did in Korea, and in particular, and stories on how Alpha Company won it's Meritorious Unit Citation and Korean Presidential Citation. I would also like any list of names of who was in Alpha Company at time they were won. We are trying to put together an "Honor Roll" of sorts. Also, if anyone earned any major medals (Bronze Star, etc.) that would be a great help.
