Visit me at www.jcharlescheek.com 3) I only have nine copies of my novel [STAY SAFE, BUDDY] left for signing and I don't plan to buy another 100 copies so if anyone wants a signed copy along with my author discount contact me through my website. 4) I wish everyone of my fellow veterans a good year in 2007.

Comments: We were assigned to the 3rd Inf. Div, in 1951-52 One day we intercepted a message of a planned attack on our left flank. We took it over to the British Div. which was covering that area and it proved to be accurate. It was nice to know that we were doing some good up there. Walkie Talkie communications slowed down considerably in the spring of 1952 so the politicians reduced our battery supply..It meant we couldn't listen to Eddie Arnold on Armed Forces Radio on Sunday mornings anymore. I tookj a transfer back to Tokyo in spring of 1952. Bill

Comments: Hello Fellow Korean War Vet: I too am a Korean War Veteran (Jan '53 - Mar '54). I told my story based on my army experiences in a novel titled "Stay Safe, Buddy". Now I'm interested in your story. Here's why. I'm trying to help keep this so called "Forgotten War" from being forgotten. So, I'm gathering material for a book of short stories by the men who participated in the war. Each story will be around 500 words long. Most folks will never write a book based on their experiences in the service during the Korean War era but most everyone can write a short story about one of their favorite (or not so favorite) memories. Each person will be shown as the author of their article. I'll help you write it if you wish. Let me know if you're interested in participating? Stay safe, buddy. J. Comments: Was a short-timer in Korea due to extensive training and early discharge for college. Had difficulty with Sgt. Wheeler (???) who didn't like the way I played poker. Remember Lt. Ed Rothenberg (MIT grad) who was replaced with hard nosed LT. who's name escapes me. Remember Ron Clifton, another long timers Cerwonka (??), Gibbs, Epstein, Monty Hall.
