Comments: I would appreciate any information on SFC Billy G. Donahoe. I am the Casualty Assistance Officer for his family. His remains were recently repatriated to the United States and he will be buried next to his mother on 28 Dec 04 in Houston, Texas.
His surviving family knows little of his service in Korea and I'm trying to help them put together the history. SFC Donahoe, served with the 1st Marine Division during the 2d World War. He was killed on or about 12 Dec 1950 near Chosin.

Comments: Winford arrived in Korea in September 1952 and was back home in July 1953. He didn't talk about his experiences often but when he did, he mentioned a Lt. Stevens, who received a battlefield commission, Carpenter, Jones, Baruda, Mcneese and others I can't recall. He made lots of pictures with a Kodak Reflex camera when he could. He talked of his knees and feet almost freezing and how he dried his socks underneath his clothes. Spoke of rats in his bumker.I am his wife and would appreciate hearing from anyone who may have known him in Korea.Winford's memories are fading following multiple mild strokes. He doesn't like to talk about war stories.

Comments: My father served in the 7th Infantry and was tied to the 31st Infrantry Regiment. I believe that he said that he also served with the 32nd and the 17th while in Korea. He also said that he was assigned to Regimental HQ. His platoon was the Anti Tank and Mine. I'm looking for anyone that might know my father, or any information about his platoon. I have plenty of pictures of his buddies, but do not know their names. Thank you.

Comments: Gladys Ridge, a lady in our church is looking for information about her brother, Kenneth Ridge. He is listed as MIA, later declared dead. He sered in the 31st Inf. Regt, 3rd battalion, M Co. We are trying to find out any information about where he was last seen, how he died, the area where his body was left. Is ther any significance to the 12/12/50 day as I noted that there a lot of MIA's that date. Whatever anyone can tell us will help Gladys have some closure. Any information,no matter how small, of his service in Korea will be greatly appreciated. There must be someone, somewhere who knows something, please. I was in Nam in 65-67 and understand her need to find out what happen to her brother. Any leads or advice will be greatly appreciated.

Comments: Comments: Still looking for Jack Slack, RA12370942, Hq Co 1st Bn 31st Inf Regt, Korea 1951-52. Met with Stan Kujawski, Bob Breda and Don Chandler in Chicago/Crown Point, 2 yrs ago. Have found and corresponded with Jim Furnier in Stout, Ohio, and Tom Walko, 3rd Bn. Just last year ago found and talked to Roland "Londo" Leuter, now living in Las Vegas. Had not spoken to him since Feb of 1952. We have talked half dozen times on phone, swapping pictures, but still can't find Jack Slack, once of 17 Van Schoick St. in Albany. My wife and I knocked on every door of that street 2 years ago, finding nothing, and then spent hours at their KWar Memorial. Jack is not on any casualty list. Has anyone seen him since he came home from Korea? Where is Chuck Rumfola?

Comments: A Cpl. Vorheers saved my life on that day - 22 August 1952 - I never was able to thank him, there were 13 of us trying to capture enemy soldiers for interrogation...I got the farthest, to the entrance of an enemy bunker when I was hit by 4 grenades. Cpl Vorhees came up the hill where I was lying, picked me up, and the 2 of us rolled down the hill and away from direct enemy fire.
