Comments: Just looking for anyone who may have served with my daddy sergeant John Joseph Michael. He was with the 7th ID(hourglass), 32nd Inf. Regt., 1st Batt, D Company. He was with the 31st RCT east of Chosin. He was wounded in battle on the night of Nov. 29th. Like most veterans, he did not talk much about his experiences over there as I'm sure they were just too painful to remember. Joe Rosella was a close friend of daddy's. He served in the 31st inf. regt. Daddy passed away May 20th of 2003 and I was just wondering if there was anyone out there they may have served with him. I would greatly apreciate any correspondence. I would also like to tell all of the veterans of the Korean War that you are all loved and appreciated and you will never be "forgotten" in my heart. Thank you, Steve, son of John J. Michael.

Comments: Father, Stanley Carl Kaplan is ill, would like to contact "Army Buddies" who served with him. He was close to Owen Johnson who lives in West Virginia I believe. Fought in Inchon Invasion and Chosin Reserviour, or as he put it, "all over", 1950-1951. Was in Haikido, Japan when "fighting broke out". Was in basic in the south, then in Oregon before being shipped out.

Comments: He remembers going to see a buddy stationed in Soeul. He failed to salute a 2 star general in a staff car. The car stopped and a Gen.Fangs chewed him out for having his coat unbottoned. His buddy Elmer Arnold now deciesed told him who the General was. Most of my brothers time was spent in a small out post. His name is Duane Duey. duey@sentco.net
