Regarding Stormy Garr

Comments: Stormy Garr was my uncle. If you or your father would like to contact the family, please email me. Stormy's older sister, Patsy (my mother), lives with me. His mother is also still alive (94 yrs) and lives with his younger sister. From what I remember from over the years, the soldier that murdered my uncle was sent to Leavenworth (I believe it was a life sentence). I think he has actually written my grandmother a letter expressing his remorse.

Sgt Gilberto Sanchez

Comments: He was lost on the East shore of the Chosen Reservoir between Sinhug and Hagaru-ri. His last letter said that he would be home for Christmas. I appreciate hearig from any body that knew him around that time.

Captain Edward Stamford Marine

Comments: I'm looking for any information regarding a Marine Captain Edward Stamford. He and four other Marines were attached to 1/32 during the Chosen fight. He directed close air-strikes to support the 1/32s fight on the eastern side of the lake. he was part of a Marine Unit called ANGLICO. The army put him in for The Medal of Honor but it was down graded to a Silver Star. I'm writing a book about his fight. Please contact me.

How far did I walk?

Comments: Walked miles between January-June 1951 thru Korea until wounded on hill outside Chunchon in June 1951. Curious as to specifically where this walking tour took place. My father was born someplace north of Seoul. He's dead. I was born in Hawaii.Maybe somebody can tell me the route Company I took on the way to Chunchon.

HAROLD L. 'BUD' RICHARD

Comments: Looking for any info or pictures. My father, PFC Harold "Bud" Richard, served in the 32nd Infantry regiment of the 7th Division in WWII.

He died in 1982 before we could have real conversations about the war. He brought back momentos but those were lost over the years. We've gone to the army records center in St. Louis and found that ALL of his records were lost in a tragic high-rise fire there in 1972.

He was a drummer in a family band and may have played drums with some folks while in the service.
