Comments: My Dad, Corp. Henry L. Denby, of the 7th Div., 32 Reg. and 2nd Bat. was in Korea in 1950, near Inchon. Looking for some of his buddies that served with him and remember him. Dad passed away in November of 1998 with cancer. He was 67 years old.

His discharge papers say Company M 32nd inf APO7, his serv #US53089075, Everett Alexander from Mississippi. He passed away in 1958 of unknown illness and mysterious rash taken home from Korea. The only name on any of the pictures is of Dixon, a black soldier, sharing a bunker with him. There are pictures of the hillsides handmarked, "the outpost" and "the Reds". Any information would be greatly appreciated. Also if anyone knows where I can find access to duty rosters please let me know. Thanks

Comments: I am looking for information regarding the MIA/POW status of my mother's cousin, William Franklin White. As the family story is told, Billie drove a jeep for a higher ranking officer. Reported MIA on December 2, 1950. Was declared dead in 1951. The family heard that his entire regiment had just dissappeared from the battlefield with nothing left behind showing they had even been there! In Billie's last letter home that was written at the end of November, 1950, he had just purchased a heater for the jeep off of the black market for $100. He was also excited that he was to be going home at the end of December. He has never made it home. After the family had been given notice of death in 1951, they heard nothing more. This site lists him as "hostile, died while captured (POW)." This is the first we have heard of his possibly being a POW although we had always suspected it. Also, in the 1960's, a bulletin was posted on television in the Detroit area (where Billie was from) that a William White and two others had escaped from a POW camp. Our William White never came home, but we have always wondered if the William White who escaped was ours or another (there are 9 William Whites with various middle initials listed in the KIA/POW site).

If anyone has any information, knew our Billie White, or can provide any information about December 2, 1950, his date of capture, please let me know.

Tere Campbell (2nd cousin to William F. White)

Comments: I am trying to help my father locate the history of the unit he served in while in Korea.

We are trying to find out if log books exsist with this particular unit that would have a day to day account of the events that took place.

We are particularly interested on the events that took place on the evening of February 13/14, 1953.

He served with the 3rd Platoon, I Company, 32 Infantry Reg, 7th Infantry Div.

We are trying to locate a copy of General Orders #14, Head Quarters, 32nd Inf Reg, 7th Div, dated 14 Feb, 1953. He was wounded and received the Purple Heart.

He speaks of entering at Pusan, was there for just a few days, and was off to the "middle of now where", no towns, no villages, at the bottom of a mountain, in the area of Pork Chop Hill, what he called T-Bone.

Also recalls a friend by the name of Winesapp - Winesack" who was killed during this two day affair. He recalls sitting in a trench for two days as the Chinese were right above them walking back and forth, was NOT pleasant!

Please contact me at; tlillich@midusa.net if any info on this particular unit and evening!!

Kind Regards, Tammy Lillich Proud daughter of Msg Richard J. Burnett/retired

Comments: I am submitting this for my father, Duane W. Crawford, who served with Baker Company, 1st Battalion, 32 Inf. Reg., 7th Inf. Div. in Korea from May 1951-March 1952. He would enjoy hearing from any of the men he served with, and would be willing to provide any information he could for those searching for MIA/KIA in his unit during this time. Anyone interested in contacting him should email me and I will see that he receives your message.

Comments: I served as photographer PIO office from September 1st, 1951 until June 20, 1952. We never had the opportunity to go on R&R to Japan. We were in reserve one time in the spring of 1952. I acquired 36 points and was still on the hill on June 20th when they called me off. We were right in the middle of an artillery attack and we had to run like hell to get out of there alive. At the time I was thinking of my family getting word of me being killed the very last day of my service! Luckily the shells missed us and the 6 X 6 we were riding in and the road we were traveling on. I photographed many soldiers in many outfits for release to their hometown papers, along with special assignments by S-2 for mapping and area coverage.

Comments: My husband, LT. Richard M. Price reported MIA March 25, 1953. He was in the Battle of Old Baldy. He was reported presumed dead on March 26, 1954. He was in the 7th. Div. 32 regt. Co. C.I would like to hear from anyone who was in the battle, and survived. Last I heard, from inquires was that he was shot, rolled down the hill, took refuge under one of our tanks, and later in the day the tank was blown up, I've heard nothing since, and that was in 1954. My thanks in advance to anyone who can help. Sincerely, Shirley Price Schroeder
