Comments: Anyone with info regarding H CO during this time period would be appreciated. I have very little recollection of the events of this time. I do remember the 2BN was awarded a special citation which was known as Spearheaders and was white painted on numerious rocks. I would like to know a little about the events as all I can remember is that I was there.

Comments: I am looking for anyone who might have known my uncle Jay. He was a wonderful guy. A one of a kind. He was the kind of guy that would send flowers anonomously to the girls who did not have boyfriends. He was the uncle I never knew. I was born almost twenty years after he died. He was my father's twin brother and best friend. Unfortunately, my father passed away, but I was lucky to have had twenty five years with him. He rarely talked about his brother. I can only imagine the loss. I too have a brother..an older one. I would greatly appreciate any information about my uncle Jay...He was initially MIA in 1950 and later KIA..Any help would be greatly appreciated..Many thanks and Whoooa!

I believe he was enlisted however had a way as I am told of getting into trouble because of the war and did not do that well with what he saw over there. I think he was a sgt a couple times however got broke back to enlisted a number of times. He did go AWOL in Korea and ended up in Japan and was sent back to the States. He spent some time at Fort Lewis before he was discharged. He was in the 82nd Airborne and then transfered to Fort Lewis and do not know what his unit was that he was sent over with.

PFC Roy Matthews was killed in action on 25-May-1951 and while his remains were never returned to our family, his name is "etched in stone" and provides another way for us to remember him. Our family has always felt in our hearts that he could possibly still be alive. We recently found this website and we were wondering if there was anyone out there that might have any information on my Uncle Jim or if anyone knew him while in Korea. We would love to hear from anyone that might know anything about him or had pictures or just was in the same unit and remembers him. Please contact us by phone, address or email. Thank You!!

Comments: My wife's uncle was Pvt. Lawrence H. Bartley who was KIA on Feb. 12th, 1951 in South Korea, he was with the 38th Inf. Regt.~~2nd Inf. Div. He was formerly with the HQ & SV Co., 63rd Hvy. Tank Bn. around 1950. He was 21 years old at time of his death but looked more like 16 and a small guy at 5'-6" and 147 lbs but was tough as hand~wrought naiLs. My wife would love to find any of his former buddies, friends, or anyone that may remember him, he was from Frankfort, Indiana and was a very likable fella with a great sense of humor and was fond of the ladies and alcohol and a good time and was as his sister commented many times "not afraid of anyone or anything"

Comments: Looking for info for my father. He was a K co replacement in Sept of '51 while the 2nd was on Heartbreakridge. He recieved a purpleheart that winter '51-52'while on night patrol after attending radio school and joining H co. All his records were destroyed in the St Louis fire of service records(70s?) and his personal records destroyed by fire also in '83 at home. He only recently will say much about Korea and memory fails names and dates. He has 3 bronze stars. The night patrol is really still difficult to talk about.I would appreciate any that served w/ K or H at that time responding. Thank you.

Comments: My father, M/Sgt Ardent R. FaJohn, passed away on October 1, 2005. He was a platoon leader with Company A from November 1952 - September, 1953. I'm interested in corresponding with anyone who knew him or served with him during this period of time during the Korean Conflict. I'm especially interested in learning how he earned his 3 Bronze Stars.
