Comments: Would like to hear from anyone who remembers me while serving there. Remember everyone lifting the Quanset huts by hand and loading them on a flatbed on moving day in 1955? How about (don't remember his rank) Blacknorre from the Turkish unit up the road? The 'slicky boy' hanging in front of the Turkish unit until a chaplin asked them to cut him down? How about the visit from Rita Moreno (USO)at Base Camp? The Red Cross bringing coffee and donuts to the compound each month (nice break from routine)? I attended the I Corps NCO Academy at Uijongbu while there.

COL. now , who talked to him before he was helicoptered out of Korea combat zone to a hospital in Japan when a gernade exploded in front of him and received injuries to his face. His Platoon Sgt. John Gary is another veteran he is looking for any information on. He has been trying to get in contact with anybody in the Us Army 25th division-24th infrantry regiment that served in the Korean War back in the 1950's. I think he said they were called Wolfhounds or Wolfpack who helped plug up holes in the front line. I am his son Jon Mori Uyehara trying to help him get in contact with his combat buddies my email is LOCOLBOYZ@AOL.COM If anybody has any information it will be greatly appreciated by a US Army Korean War Veteran. Comments: I spent 1954 on three AN/TRC-4 radio relay sites in Korea. The only two I remember are Rickey and Highpoint. I have lost my memory of the great guys that I served with during that wonderful tour in Korea. Traveling these mountains was something that few people in the service have ever done and I loved every minute of it. I returned to Korea in 1961 as a civilian and worked in KMAG for 6 years as a communications advisor. Some of my work took me back to one of the sites that I cannot remember the name of.

Comments: In January of 1957, I flew with the 60th A.R.S. from Itami Air Base, Japan, on a search for an MATS aircraft lost over the Pacific Ocean, that was flying to Japan with military dependents, about 200 miles east of Tokyo.
I was a still photographer from the 67th Reconnaissance Wing, Photo Lab, and was going along to cover the unit during the search. I have some negatives to give to a person who was assigned to the 60th A.R.S.
The aircraft that I flew on was a SC-47 SN-049565. Some of the crew were: LT. William Klesert, Pilot. Lt. William Edwards, Co-Pilot. Lt. Charles Payne. Enlisted crew personnel were: SSgt John Nielson and A1c Jenning Hibbard.

Comments: We conducted S&R (search and recovery) of temporary burials of combat KIA personnel on the North Korean Communist occupied side. Each morning we checked into the Panmunjom Headquarters on the DMZ to get pass to go into Communist side to do our searching for remains using our map overlay of battlefield site burials. We of course had to give up our side arms, wear a yellow arm band to signify we had permission to be on Commmunist territory side doing our work. We were guarded by Communist Soldiers with fixed bayonets. They would ask us for "tobako" (cigarettes). We were restricted to answer, and communicate with them.

Comments: Looking for anyone that served with the 50th AAA BN in Korea 1952-1954. Doing a preservation project on a 1943 M16A2 MGMC Half-Track that was recovered from the East African Desert in Apr 07... Believe that this track was with the 50th AAA Bn 1952-1954 in Korea before being transferred to the French in 1954.

Comments: Would like to hear from anyone who served with me north of the Imjim River, near Freedom Gate Bridge. Heavy 4.2 Mortor Btry. Also, would like to hear from anyone that remembers any activity by the N.Koreans, reported or unreported, along the DMZ during late 57 or early 58, near Freedom Gate Bridge. Also, there was an Infantry Co. across the road from us. That Co. Commander reported an explosion, behind our Motor Pool, to our Btry Cmdr. If anyone knows of any of these incidents, please contact me.
