Comments: I was at Camp Pelham feb 1967-april 1968 . MOS 11D40 received IMJIM SCOUT AWARD -- was part of the QRF Team, did many many missions of the DMZ.I've enjoyed reading some of these messages and thought I'd enter mine.I can't say I enjoyed KOREA and the zone as much as some of these but I do have fond memories of the unit and great guys I served with.I especially remember the cold weather ,rain and all the nice young ladies. Would be glad to chat with anyone from this or any time period. John Edwards

Comments: I am seeking guys who served at Camp Casey, Korea, during late 1968 and 69. 707 Maintenance Battalion, company "C". I did 13 months there and spent a lot of time in the village of Ujonbo, having fun with the Yobosayos (spelling?) and Oriental Brewery, OB beer. Looking for Edward Baranowski, Dale Hontz (corn-cob-country!), Bill Lahee.(spelling?). Bill and I got hard contact lenses while we were there. Dale was a comedian with American Indian heritage. Dale taught me how to bend a cigarette in half without breaking it, haha, I still remember. I have lots of pictures from my army years and I am willing to share them. My wife and I scanned the pics and put on CD and I can email them now. Looking for anyone who served with me. Can't think of all the names of the wonderful friends I had. Please contact me by emailing me. I will respond to all who contact me. Ed Baranowski used to call me Spike. I'm 60 years young now and had a heart attack last month, but I am OK now. I go to Veterans Hospital in Ann Arbor, Michigan. Please contact me. Thanks to all who read this.
Keywords: Dale Hontz, "Corn Cob Country!!" Edward Baranowski, SPIKE. Ujonbo village (spelling), steam house, contact lenses, who destroyed the latrines? 707 Maintenance Battalion, company "C". SPIKE. I was Air Evacuated in June 1966
I served in Korea up near Camp Casey between 65 & 66 .
Looking for info in that I am wondering if anyone else has Leukemia as well as myself I was diagnosed with it a couple of years ago.
My name is Francis Green and I wore the hour glass patch as far as I can remember, my nick name was probably Fran
We were Infantry. I forgot all the details of where I was and who was with me.
Not too much that I do remember, I know that they say that in 68 & 69 they sprayed Agent Orange up near the DMZ and I was not far from there at all.
Anyway if that name rings a bell with anyone please email me and you were there between them times 65-66
and if you have CLL Leukemia please get back to me. Today I live near Buffalo, NY 14219 in a little town called Woodlawn.

Been to the DMZ,was there when we brought the men back from the pueblo on the freedom bridge, did missions on the banks of the Imjin River, battled the VA for 8 yrs for my exposure to AO after being diagnosed with type II diabetes in 97,lost of hearing,I am like lots of you guys out there, having a hard time remembering, but don't give up keep trying the VA finally granted me comp in Nov 08.I know its frustrating to know you was there and they won't acknowledge it,they say records are burnt...no records of and battles, but we know WE were there! so DON"T give up trying, you DESERVE IT cause part of our live was taken away...hang in there!

Comments: I spent about 6 months at Camp Casey and then abouit 6 months at our compound known as the Army's Northernmost Outpost. The title had something to do with the fact we had permanent buildings? Later, the sign read "Camp Alamo." We drove south to Camp Santa Barbara to get potable water. I would like to hear from others who served during that time period. It was a great time and one of the most memorable assignments I had in 25+ years on active duty. I returned for a tour 1983-1986 but it was just not the same. I would like to exchange photos via e-mail with others from that era.
I am receiving compensation for exposure to Agent Orange in Vietnam. I wish those now applying for their exposure in Korea "Good Luck". The process is long and involved but just hang in there, it is worth it.

Keywords: I spent nearly all of 1968 and 1969 in Korea. My first 10 months were in the Second Division and my final year was in Seould at the American Forces Korea radio and television network. If you had contact with either of those units then, I would love to hear from you! I spent a good deal of time in my first year interviewing guys in the division for release to home town radio stations, and in helping with the 2nd Div. newspaper and working with reporters in country from the U.S.
My second year was spent as a news broadcaasster on AFKN and doing a childrens' TV show called Captain Overscan! Scott Brundage

Comments: Hello Ed. sorry to take so long to answer but had a few more g-sons come into thee world. Ed as we have discussed before. i and the Medic. were the only one's around or in that area when we retrived you. I would have seen a human form if it was there, as you know what was in front of us and to the right,(sapper silenced.) i do not recall any back up or cover fire for me or the medic Sambioda, or did i see anyone else , till we gat back to where the Col. was. well i hope this will make it this time my friend. I wish to thank all of you who helped me find Ed ParPart last year. I strongly urge others to look up some one they knew or had contact with in a firefight. i can not even explain the emotions to all of you, a special thanks to the owners of this site for Your help, guidence, and understanding, on the phone gave me closure when i did find Ed. Comments: I was the Dispatcher then Truckmaster for B co. 7th S & T at Camp Casey in 1968 - 1969. I was just looking for old friends that served with me there. Most of my friends were truck drivers and I sure would like to find some of them. DeKonig, Garcia, Murhead, Trusdale, Abrams, Johnson to name a few and identify our group. Best of luck guys, Tim Peay.

Comments: I'm the son of a navy serviceman. My dad served on the USS CAVALIER (APA-37)(FHTNC). He recently passed away with a massive heart attack(10 yrs ago). His name was Ronald Dean Dittmar. I'm going through old pictures when he was commissioned in the navy in Nov, 16'65. If there is anyone who could share PICS (If available) I would certainly appreciate them. Thanks
