Comments: Kimpo, Korea, June through Nov. 1952. I'm looking for anyone who remembers an accident coming back from hot chow one evening in a truck which had to stop on a barricaded incline and rolled backwards when it's motor quit. One of the three men who were moving the barricade was hit by the truck and thrown approx. twenty feet. He landed in a rice paddy under concertina wire. I think Lemons (who later lost his hand in a breech block accident) was one of those who was helping to move the barricade. I'm the one who was hit by the truck. If any of this rings a bell please e-mail at sinkadusa@msn.com or call or write at the above address. Thanks for your help. Ted Pelzer

Comments: He remembers the 155 Howesters, he also thought he remembered someone by the name of Bob Lemon (not sure if the spelling of the last name is correct) and someone by the last name of Gonzales (not sure if that spelling is correct either) from El Paso, TX. He remembered that Mr. Lemon had gotten his hand crushed while in Korea while trying to help load the Howester if that helps any.

Keywords: I am Ted "Jay" Pelzer's daughter and he asked me to try to find some people he may have been in Korea with. So, here I am. If you could send my Dad a message at this email address: Sinkadusa@msn.com. My Dad was in the King Battery, 4th Battalion, 11th Marines, 1st Marine Division and he was in the Marines from March 1951 to March 1954 and in Korea from Nov. 1951 to Nov. 1952. If you could email him, I've told him I was putting feelers out there for him to reply to and to have my Mom keep her eyes open for a message from this website. He'd really like to get in touch with some of the guys he served with. THANK YOU!!!

Comments: Anyone remember the bulldozer operator that dug all the gun pits when we dug in in April 1966? That was me. Looking for people who might remember me. I was the one who brought more dirt to fill sand bags. I fell off the back of the truck when unloading ammo. I broke my leg when they called fire mission and everyone responded; Someone slipped off clutch and the 55 round fell on my ankle and broke it in the commotion. I remember our mess hall being blown up. Please write and share your memories here or otherwise. Does anyone remember how many how many operations we had and confirmed stats? If you made the move from Chu Lai to Da Nang in March '67 write or better yet, call me since I'm not good on email.

Anybody remember the crazy Christmas '66 we were all drunk as hell with a beer can Christmas tree? I have the photos I'll try to get someone to help me post.

Recently he was able to correspond with Al Matthews who was in the foxhole with my dad when he was wounded. He would like me to help him find out what happened on Hill 65 after he was sent away in January 1968. If there is any information you would like to share, please feel free to email me. If you have kept in contact with any of the soldiers from KILO, it would be great to be able to pass that on.

Comments: My grandpa PFC Louis Mediano died this past November 24, 2005 and I regretfully did not get a chance to ask him about his experience as a marine in the Korean War. Currently I am obtaining my Masters Degree and am writing a paper on Veteran's experiences to further my peer's understanding of what servicemen and women go through. Unfortunately, my grandpa is not around to ask him questions about his Korean War experience and I was wondering if anyone knew him that would be willing to answer a few questions. I'd really appreciate it and I think so would your fellow servicemen PFC Louis Mediano. Rest in Peace Grandpa!
