Served 1950-1951 around Gang-Won Province (Middle/East frontline)

Comments: Looking for anyone who served in 5th Regimt, 1st battalion, H&S Company (Supply Section "G4") or any other companies to confirm/share information.
Grandfather seeking proof for his service in Korean War as a civilian interpreter of the H&S Company from 1951 to 1952- there are no official records of service by Korean citizens. He was drafted by Marines in Masan, retired in Seohwa in 1952, mainly stayed in "middle/east frontline" in Gang Won Do(province) area.
He remembers arriving in Goo-ryong-po port in a LST and moved through various cities by car in Gang Wong Do area where the fights were very harsh. He served under Capt Raymond (?) for 3 months before Capt. was promoted to Major/ returned to US. He remembers an incident near ChoonChun near Soyang river where he almost died/ many others were killed/ they carried ammunition and C-ration(food) on Jigae(a Korean carrier tool).
If any of these stories or persons are relatable/ familiar to you, please email us.

I work at a Vet Center and am helping a Veteran with a claim. He was there (his first 3 days with this unit). He would like some help with proof or corroboration. We tried NARA with not much help. Thanks

Comments: Trying to locate fellow Marines and/or NOK of GSgt. Charles Jonies Davis, KIA on 26 Sep 50, while serving with HQ SVC CO / 1 BN / 5 RG / 1 DIV. Records from this project, show he was born 13 Jan 17, in DeFuniak Springs, FL. We are attempting to locate information regarding him, as he is a Walton County (FL) veteran, and obtain some bio data and a photo, if possible. We would then include him in our "Wall of Honor" veteran photo display. Our idea is remind residents that the right to vote was and still is purchased with blood of fine people like him. Any help will be greatly appreciated. Thanks.
